The Complete Guide To Beginners Crochet

We all have to start somewhere. In lesson one I will teach you the slip knot, chain stitch and the all important single crochet stitch, these are the stitches all crochet stitches are based on.

 

Lesson two we learn half double crochet stitch, double crochet stitch and slip stitch. With these essential stitches  you’ll be stitching up items in no time at all.

 

Lesson three we take our stitch knowledge up a level as we learn triple and quadruple stitch.

Rib stitch is a single stitch variation. Its super simple and with this stitch you can make comfortable stretchy bands for your items.

Lesson five we are building on our technical knowledge of this wonderful craft. Follow this tutorial to learn the simplest method to increase and decrease your stitches.

Lesson six rounds off the lesson section of this beginners crochet course. In this lesson you will learn how to change yarn colours in your projects. 

 

The best way to practice your stitches is to make a few items. I wrote the Slouchy Beanie pattern and the Kids Leg Warmers pattern to go with this course.
